If you had $500 - $800 to spend on a future USPSA 45ACP competition gun, could ONLY buy a newer model Kimber, Springfield, or CZ, FOUND one in GREAT shape for the price range, which model would you go with and WHY?
I know it’s not extremely likely, but (hopefully) a possibility.
Be nice!

I'm sure there are some, but for that price range, it'll be tough to find a Loaded Springer let alone one that has the fit and finish of a Kimber. I'm not a CZ fan, just because of lack of exposure to them. I like my Colts and Kimber. I will promote the Kimber because I have never had issue with my Stainless II. Sure they have a proprietary sight dovetail, and did have a run of external extractor models, and the new ones have the swartz safety, but other than that, mine has functioned as well or better than any other 1911 (Colt), I've handled/owned. I'd have to go look at the approved list, but I'm quite surprised that Para Ordnance isn't on your list. In the 1911 world, they could well be the biggest bang for the buck.
I will say, buy used! I got my Kimber from a THR member. Stainless II with external extractor, Very tight with a sweet trigger. It was only $620 to the door after shipping and FFL fees.

Oh, I just haven't done much research on Para. That's all.

I would look into this one. Dollar for dollar, best gun on the market.

I shoot a Kimber Custom II in USPSA, but if one wants to get into loyalty, Springfield supports the Association, whereas Kimber does not.

many times, Springfield is the one of the three I've actually purchased.
But that was't for a competition gun. looks like you'd be comparing 1911's vs a CZ (which model? they have many).
If you want to shoot single stack, I'd vote springer.
If you want to shoot limited 10 my vote is a 40 cal CZ
If you want to shoot Limited I'd vote for a competition model CZ (ask NavyJoe and others about these, I don't have a lot of first hand experience).
If you want to shoot production, I'd grab a CZ85 in 9mm and never look back ....

I did buy the Springfield when I had to choose. Not that the Kimber is a bad gun I just wanted to be able to trick out my 45 when I needed to and the Springfield seemed a better gun to trick out.
