How is warranty for Colt and Bushmaster and Armalite? When I move and break said rifles, will they fix it or am I on my own?

So far Springfield's been taking pretty good care of me, not sure what rifle I should save up for next after the move (maybe a UT15 so I can like El Tejon....)

Perhaps their warranties are similar to that of Ruger . . . there is none.

I took this into consideration when I purchased my first AR

Bushmaster-1 year parts & service

Armalite-Limited lifetime parts & service

Colt-Unknown

As of yet I have not had a use for the warranty, but that was a deciding factor in my first purchase.....Not much but I hope it helps

What the heck does 'limited lifetime' mean...they'll fix it as long as it's not broken?

And what happens after a year with Bushmaster?

 :(

As I was told, the limited lifetime pertains to parts that are not subject to excessive wear.

Say your charging handle breaks in a week, I am sure they would replace it, but I think it is safe to assume that they would not replace it after five or ten years.

It is a known fact that after years of use, some parts are going to wear out, no matter what kind of care you take to prevent it

As far as the Bushmaster thing, I have no idea, I guess you are SOL...
