This AM I was awakened by a call from a friend who stated that the had a.22 rifle if I wanted it. I have tried to curtail my habit of using our house as the local chapter for unwanted guns, but old habits die hard.
I brought home a JC Higgins Model 30 semi auto .22. The gun is pretty much a beater, metal about 70% and stock not much better. It is mechanically sound,
though, and with a sharp, shiny bore.
Anybody out there have any info they want to share on this piece. I'd like to clean it up and use it as a varmint gun/plinker. As always, thanks in advance.
