Any problems with winchester ammo in your ruger?

In my ruger P95 i've been having FTE FTF like ever one or two shots. I took it off my belt after my range trip today and temporarily put back my sig 228. I'm wondering if its the ammo i'm using. Are rugers known to have problems with winchester 115 gr. FMJ? I'm going to try sellier and bellot and if that doesn't work it's taking a trip to the factory.

I have a pk95dc and shoot the Remington 115gr green box. I've never had any issues so far. The mags I use are the 2 that came with the gun.

My P89DC has no problem with WWB at all.
Check your mags.

Couple of thoughts:
Abrink are you shooting reloads? If they are factory have you ever shot those Winchester's before?

Try using the ammo in another pistol to see if it's the ammo. Give the pistol a good cleaning/lube. Also, check your magazines for damage; use a factory mag and see what happens. Don't forget to keep a firm grip on the pistol to avoid the "limp wristing" problems.

No i'm not shooting reloads. I'm not causing the jams. It's a good batch of ammo. My gun is very clean and lubed appropriately. And it's a new gun with less than 200 rounds in it. The mags i'm using are the 2 15 round factory mags. Both of them jam.

It may be time for a trip to the factory for a repair; give the folks at Ruger a call and see what they say.
I know lots of folks with the P95 and generally speaking they tend to work well with just about any kind of ammo. There may be a problem with your firearm. I think you have to send it back for some work.

My P95 is one of he very early ones and it has never been sensitive to any ammo or magazines. I bought mine when 10 round mags were all that you could get and bought some cheap 15 rounders that were "pre-ban." They function just as well as the factory mags. Maybe I just got a great one, but it has never had one failure of any kind. Sounds like a trip back to Ruger.

Maybe take the mags apart and give them a good cleaing with brake cleaner or something to get all the oil and and any dirt out. When you put them back together (don't oil them that only give oil something to stick to) and try them again!
Good Luck

Check your firing pin to see that it is well centered. Rugers occasionally have the firing pin hole in the breech face far enough off center to result in erratic ignition. If this is the case it means a trip back to Ruger for a new slide. A certain amount of off center is OK, it's when it's too far off center that you have a problem.

i have never had problems with wwb in any ruger. check the mags, if it ain't that and the ammo, then i would give ruger a call. they have a great cs and they will square you away.
