Grips for the 642/337/340/360

I recently bought a S&W 337. At 10.5oz it is REALLY light and the Hogue bantam grips, while great for concealment, appear to do zilch to tame the substantial recoil of this weapon. My question is, what grips do you guys use? Are there better grips that will tame the recoil a little more effectively without compromising its conceal ability for pocket carry? I've though maybe the boot grips might be a bit wider to distribute the recoil better, maybe the Pachmayr Compac or Compac Pro, or maybe something else I'm not privy to?
I know many folks are partial to the CTC Laser grips. I'm really not interested in spending that much on a pair of grips nor do I like lasers.

Lots of good info in the below threads. Plenty of photos with various grips as well.

I am assigned in a plain clothes capacity. My firearm of choice is a S&W 340PD. I have large hands and I had problems qualifying with the Bantam grips (I had to re-grip the gun after each shop no matter how tightly I held it, as it would move in my hand too much with each shot) . I switched to Pachmayr grips and shoot >95% on POST consistently. The gun works for me on duty and off, as it fits well in my pocket in slacks, Royal Robbins, or shorts. The difference in the gun's profile in my pocket due to the larger grips is negligible as compared to being able to shoot it accurately.

Has anyone directly compared the Hogue Bantams and the Boot Grips? I would like to know if the Boots grips are any better at distributing the recoil of the lightweights. I know the Pachmayr Compacs would probably be the best for recoil management but they are a bit more bulky.

Instead of the Hogue Bantam grips or the Uncle Mike's Boot grips I would suggest the Uncle Mike's Combat Grips (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=12994&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=46303&training=). They are a little bigger than the Boot grips but you can still pocket carry. They are the stock S&W grips on the M640 and M649.

I saw on another post where a guy cut a pair of combat grips down to about the length of the boot grip. It looks like an interesting option!

Why? You're not telling us anything about the exposed backstrap and all, and RECOIL REDUCTION vs. GRIP on the gun.
I have yet to encounter anyone ever say what these Tyler-T's do other than cover the gap between the rear of the trigger guard and frame, something the rubber grips already do.
I'm not trying to be nasty-just frustrating coming up with a solution to concealability vs. comfort while shooting hot loads (+P and more).
