I just signed my girlfriend up for an Associate NRA membership for 10 bills...anyone w/ GF's or wives who aren't members can do so for 2.7 cents a day.

I have to give credit to the NRA who has taken proactive measures to see the conclusion of the AW Ban. They seem to be under a new, more aggressive management who refuses to compromise w/ the gun-grabbers in congress...lets keep the momentum goin.

Unfortunately, the NRA does not vote on laws or their repeal. That, by law, is left to our elected representatives.

Still, joining the NRA beats joining the Democratic Party by a wide margin.

First things first. First, let's stop any new gun bans, then let the current ban expire, then worry about the old laws.

If you can afford it join every pro gun group you can, goa, jpfo, kaba, nra, etc etc

The NRA is not a rabid defender of rights, it plays politics and compromises too much, but it serves a purpose the smaller groups can not. The smaller groups fill a purpose that the NRA can not.

Knowing him, that cranky old son of a gun would probably feel entitled to relieve himself of a snide remark to the effect that he joined the N.R.A. in 1976, and wishes he'd just bitten the proverbial "bullet" and become a life member when he was young enough to enjoy the savings.
