Actually, the bad gun handling, if shown clearly as prime examples of what NOT to do may not be so bad.
I have to admit, I caught one half of an episode, and the naked pervert hiding behind the wire spool was pretty funny. Actually got me to laugh out loud when the foot chase went all the way to the California state line, and he stood there dancing naked taunting the police over the border.

I thought the show was pretty funny, but then again, I've never been too big a fan of law enforcement.
My favorite sketch was in the first 5 minutes, the suprise party... shows why scare tactics would not work outside of CA.

Personally, I loved the scene from the first episode where they get a call-out on an individual harrassing patrons at a store. They show up and it's a mime.
One officer's laughing himself silly at the antics while the second officer's trying to get ID from him and ask him questions. Second officer starts getting fed up as the mime starts to mimic him. Then the mime breaks into a goose-stepping routing and the second officer loses it.
"OH! You're doing me now are you?.... You're doing me now." SMACK (PR-24 impacts the mime's groin) The officer get's the mime in a strangle-hold and starts hollering "OH! You're speaking English now, aren't you!"
Darn near fell off my chair laughing.

Aren't mimes illegal in the United States?
Well...they should be.
