Ejection problem Winchester 61

About every 8 to 10 rounds gun fails to eject. There is an "arm" that rests at the bottom of receiver that lifts the round. The shell casing fails to eject and gets stuck UNDER this arm causing arm to remain in upper position. Not only does this jam the action but sometimes one or two rounds exit the loading tube into the receiver.
Anyone familiar with this type of problem ??? Thanks, Joe

I'd check the ejector and ejector spring. If you want a copy of Winchester's service manual for that gun, PM me and I'll email it to you. Where in Western NC are you? We've got some dirt in Waynesville.
