I'm looking to pick up an every day carry holster for my new SW1911 and am looking for some recommendations. Let me know if your recommendation is different for the mag holder as well.
Thanks for the input.
Troy

Alessi ACP or DOJ for OWB. GWH for IWB.

I've got a Galco Summer Comfort that is pretty good, but Galcos are too expensive for what you get IMHO.

Wilson makes outstanding leather, especially their sharkskin models. I have an IWB called the Summer Companion, but the OWB model is also VERY nice and I will probabaly pick one up. Sharkskin is nice, especially if it is going to be right next to your skin because sweat won't hurt it, but that probably isn't needed for an OWB. Wilson also makes a mag holder that holds one 45 mag and a Surefire...very nice.

If I understand correctly, Wilson Shark skin OWB holsters are made by rafters gun leather. Rafters sells exactly same holsters to public, but cheaper.
Here is mine for P7M8. They make one for 1911 also. It's a steal for $65 holster, $25 pouch, and $65 belt. All in shark skin.

I like Bulman's gunleather (http://www.bulmangunleather.com/holsters.html) Josh is a good guy and he makes excellent holsters. You might like his FBS
