You take an IDPA course and you put laser emitters on the targets and the shooters have to wear MILES gear.

You set up the laser emitters so to fire somewhat randomly, or to be fired remotly. Taking a hit gets you a DQ. Maybe you could put up some sort of blank firing device at each of the emitters to make it a little more realistic.

Since part of the point of IDPA is that you have to use cover it might add to the whole experience.

Who pays for all the shot up toys?

Well, actual MILES gear would probably be too expensive ... however el-cheapo LaserTag stuff would probably work.

I think IDPA should move to Simunitions. Everyone who isn't shooting, scoring or timing plays as a target. All the targets get to shoot back at the contestant. :)

Yeah, put real meaning in using cover properly & having a sense of 'defense' would add a more realistic flava :)
