Boots, check out the part descriptions (and part numbers) you need on Remington's 870 parts list (see here (http://www.remington.com/pdfs/m870parts.pdf) - you'll need Adobe Acrobat installed to read it). Then, use those parts numbers, etc. to check out Brownells, Gun Parts Corp. (http://www.gunpartscorp.com/) and other suppliers.

boots,
You can also call Brownell's. They are reknowned for their service and they have experts standing by to help you.
It's lazy but fast. ;)

They show up on eBay frequently and usually go for pretty low prices.

Just double check that it is in fact metal and not plastic.

The only "watch out" with Brownell's is to be sure they understand that you want a genuine Remington aluminum trigger plate. They also sell a STEEL after market "match" type unit with an adjustable trigger.
These are MUCH more expensive than a factory unit.

It's probably that you can get a less expensive, used unit on Ebay or one of the gun auction sites.

Another vote for Ebay. I picked mine up for right around $30.

boots,

Cuz I love 870s so much, I type "remington 870" into the main search header.
That way I can look at all the barrels, stocks, parts and accessories. There is usually 2-3 pages worth.

You could just type in "remington 870 trigger".
