Got a used SP101 near new for 250. Excellent little revolver. A Taurus or Rossi could be had for under that. Not many Smiths in any condition would I trust, at least not sight unseen, for that price. 642s go for about 350 new, so I'd think you might find a 642 smith for that price range or close. It's probably the best little concealed hammer pocket revolver out there and not a bad deal to boot. I don't own one, but have been tempted several times.

i was looking at older smiths like a m&p 10 or the like. i found a rossi .38 at a pawnshop but they are asking i think $290. or a armscore .38 for $249. i was looking at a kel-tec p3at but i rather carry a wheel gun.

I just bought an old S&W 15-3 in .38 for $230. Gun was in perfect condition, except for holster wear. Shoots like a dream. You just have to look around.

well i ended up grabbing a Rossi 461 in .357 snubbie today for under $270. put some cash down today, pick it up tomarrow since my bank was closed today. then ill be at the range.
