Just wondering what the cylinder gap should be on a Ruger Old Army. I don't have any way to measure...just eyeball.

Eyeballing cylinder/barrel gap is seldom accurate. You need a set of feeler guages, of the kind used to gap spark plugs. They are inexpensive, and found at most automotive supply stores.
Gaps in cap & ball revolvers are often generous in terms of modern guns, because of powder fouling. .010" wouldn't be considered excessive.
