Well i have been trying to figure out the right shotgun for me, and i have decided on the 12 Ga Nova Pump with the 28'' Barrell. No one had one in stock around here so i had to order it. (anyone have any idea how long it may take to get it? since the guy at the shop couldn't tell me.)

I am excited because it's my first new gun and first shotgun.

So i have a few newbie questions for those who already have one.

Does it come with a hard case??

What shells does the Nova perfer??

What is a good cleaning schedual and best way to clean it??

Jeremy

The Nova is a very well-made gun. Good choice. BA/UU/R, to quote the Guru! :D

Congrats and Mazeltov!

Novas, while not my first choice, are a darn good shotgun.

As for shell of choice, what's the mission? For breakin and familiarization, any cheapnlight field load is nigh perfect. Later, when you use this for waterfowl, turkey or whatever, you can research and choose a mission specific load rat cheer. Tons of knowledge on tap, centuries of experience.

Is it as easy to swap out a barrel on a Nova as it is an 870? (First time I unscrwed the tube cap of an 870 for cleaning, it fell apart :D )
