Interesting...No Signs At The Library

I dropped by the local library today, as I am likely to do a couple of times a week, and I noticed that they had taken down the sign in the window by the entrance that notified patrons that firearms were not welcome on the property. Looks like someone realized that legal carry by a good guy might not be such a bad idea after all.

I go to my local library at least weekly, and I've never seen a sign barring firearms. I've carried in there hundreds of times, and they even have Guns & Ammo and American Rifleman. Of course, if they did have such a sign, I would NEVER disobey the rule and enter the library with my CONCEALED firearm.:scrutiny:

The local library here has a nice, legal looking no weapons sign, in accordance with the appropriate ORS statute. However, if you look up the statute, it specifically does not apply to people with concealed weapon permits. Now, knives, those are still a no-no, even if you have a CCP.

Shouldn't libraries enforce the use of a suppressor?
