A few months ago, I had never owned an 870 before and now I own two of them. My question is where do I find a fore end wrench and does anyone have a recommended one??

That sure looks heavy duty. Most of the foreend wrenches I've used have been flat pieces of metal formed to the retaining nut. What the heck, price sounds good.

It'll work, WJR. I use a set of needlenose pliers opened up with the tips in the notches. You might want to try that first.

Yeah, I know. I already want a Wingmaster to go along with my Express and Police. I also have a Winchester Defender that I like, but something about the 870's just feel right, kind of like my Colts.

I cannot claim objextivity on this. An 870 feels like a body part at this point.

So do K frame Smiths, and 1911s with straight mainspring housings. Long use, and some ergonomics, IMO.

More seriously, all of what I mentioned qualify as classics. CWGs are into classics, from 57 Chevys to Goldtop Les Pauls to bamboo fly rods.

And as a pragmatist, I'm into what works. Doubtless thou art also.

You can make your own find some steel tubing or pipe that will fit inside fore-arm hole cut the two titsto fit slots in ring(I use my cut off tool and mini grinder)Make it about 6 in. long,drill a hole in uncut end(all the way thru) slide a rod in it and turn ring off.P.S.I still use needle nose( BENT AND STRAIGHT) sometimes the ring is'nt too tight

get one from brownells. the t-handled one they have works very well ,especially if you need extra leverage to get the forend nut off.
