Hi folks,

iīm a bit of a steel collector, probably because one cannot
collect guns around here like in the US.

Anyway. I recently saw an offer of used Glock Knives
that were surplus of the austrian army... and after some reasearch bought them.

The best decision i ever made - as i only paid 9$ per piece.
This knife is the best value for money on the worldwide market.

6,5" blade, made from 55HRC Springsteel with an all flexible plastic
sheath, that locks and unlocks with by thumb.

...for like 27$ new itīs the best value, ...the freaks in a german knife forum said you could freeze it to "kelvin" and the throw it into a concrete wall
without it breaking......

itīs hanging in my kitchen - and whenever i need to use force
i use my Glock Knife.

IMHO it beats many of the models out there, that cost 10-20 times its price.
German elite equipment or the KaBar can easily cost somewhere between 90 and 250$..... and they are not better.

Itīs not a beauty... but itīs a big Beast!

Cheers from Germany,
Matt.

Hmm...., my own cam is broken atm - plus my longrifle is taken apart - as i am "modding" it with black wood stain and hard-oil .....hereīs the variants of the Glock M78 or 81 you can buy.

(the one on the far left is what i have. It was sharpened and polished to the
shiny steel by a proffessional for 5$ - as i have a big slaughterhouse round the corner
with a shop that just caters to those butcherguys.)

itīs a must have.

27$....think about it - and no - iīm not working for Glock :)

Somehow I doubt this. Can we even freeze stuff to abosolute zero (0 kelvin) ?
I agree, they're good knives.

If the T-1000 could not withstand being shot after being frozen, there's no way a glock knife could. I mean, he's from the future.

...ah, point being, no, it's not feasible to freeze 'em that cold.

Man, mp7, what a DEAL though. How quaint - the army selling its surplus to people, and getting money back, instead of spending money to melt it down and run it over with steamrollers and bury it in the bottom of the ocean! But there are many good things we could say for Germany. Congrats, my friend.

Kelvin is a scale, not a temperature. You could run them down to about 280 kelvin in the beer fridge, and maybe a bit under 270K in the freezer compartment. How much below that they'll go without shattering would be a bit of a moot point here in the land of Oz - I'd have to drive a good way in midwinter to even see snow :neener:

BTW those look like a handy sort of camping knife.

Hi Guys....

i just saod Kelvin, cos i meant -45° celsius and didnt
want this Fahrenhet/Celsius discussion.

Letīs say itīs possible to throw it at a polar-station
concrete wall in winter :neener:

... and thx guys, yep itīs defintely a damn good deal
fro 15$ including sharpening by a pro.
But even for 27$ itīs a must have for those who own more
epxensive knives and donīt wanna waste them in rough
camping outdoor situations - or when u need a tool for leverage.

I actually have a GF, who was happy being presented with
one of these knives!

...means i only have one left and will purchase another sooner or later.
As we all know - u can never have enuff cold steel in the house.

cheers from germany
