Hello,

I recently bought a Mossberg 500 Persuader, 18.5" smoothbore.

As an HD SG, I wanted to add a red dot. Decided to start with something less expensive and went with the BSA RD30 (30mm, single dot reticle, 11 brightness settings...$39.95 locally).

Weaver mount attached easily as did the BSA Red Dot.

Did a rough zero in my basement with laser boresighter.

Out at the range, used slugs for sighting in (single hole easy to track).

Zeroe'd fairly quickly off the bench rest at 25 yard and decided to try head shot at 50 yards (free standing without support) on Silhouette.

If I had walked up and put the end of the muzzle on the target, I could not have placed it any better.

I'm a very happy camper!

Safe shooting,

Happy for you. Let us know how it holds up under lots of shooting, please.

Thanks!

After I get my Mossberg 395 up to par, I may try a red dot just for giggles. Thanks for the tip!
