Not a day after I ordered my Uberti Walker, I walk into a nearby gun shop and find 3 used Uberti Walkers!!! I've gone to this shop for years and never a Walker period. Oh well, it's only $100 I would have saved, but....
There's a charcoal blued Uberti Walker for $295. Is that a good deal?? I'm considering picking it up to put on Gun broker, but not sure if it'll go for much more than $300. If I didn't just buy my new Walker, I'd definitely buy and keep the charcoal blued one, it's near new shape with box, so it's very tempting!

I think you'd do well to get the charcoal one too and just hang onto it for a year or so before you resell it.

It occurs to me that if you have two Walkers, your range sessions can be twice as long, since the time it takes to gum up a Walker will be multiplied by two--that's a fairly compelling reason to buy one of those used ones without selling your new one. Naturally, you could bring other guns with you for after your one Walker gets gummed up, but but they probably won't have quite the thrill of the Walker.

$295 is a good deal depending, of course, on condition. As you well know you can't get a new one for much less than $350. It would have to be in 98% or better condition I would think.

However, at that price it's not an investment yet. Maybe in a couple of years, but even then it's not a sure thing. I'd buy it to use (again, depending on condtion...), but it's speculation as an investment.

Buy the used one to shoot then sell it when the price is right ,then you still have the NIB Walker you ordered for a shooter !

I just picked it up, came from a collector, never fired. Has an older Uberti box, I'll be trying to find out it's year later. It says BF, so i think it's 1989 since BS is '02 and BT is '03. There's a scratch on the cylinder and barrel, which are real light and I think can be touched up.
I'll most likely throw it on gunbroker since I just bought my first Walker earlier this week!
The shop was Rileys guns in Hookset NH.
This one has a Cabelas manual in the box, so I think it was from them.

Here's some pics, it's so nice, I might like it better than my new one.... I have to pick one and sell the other though. Most likely I['ll be putting this one up on Gunbroker soon. I love the charcoal blueing, does anyone know if Cabelas surrent Walkers are like this too? If I sell this one, I'd like to get one like it someday!

I just payed $385 to get that new Walker to the door and I'm still not 100% sure which I'll keep. I'll be losing money to give up the new one though, so for now I'll keep the charcoal blue one one GB.

Are all the Cabelas Walkers fire blued like this one? They look this way in the pictures there too.
From what I was reading, there was no salt/chemical blue at the time of the Walker or any guns in that era. All guns were fire/charcoal blued and bone charcoal case hardened. This blue is more historically accurate, but a fragile finish too.
