Hi All,

Just wanted to give the heads up to anyone that has a Charles Daly Hi Power and was thinking about putting on one of those FM Detective kits sold by SARCO.

It does not drop in (barrel won't tilt and diengage from the slide), and after speaking to my local smith, the effort in having it fitted would well exceed what it's worth.

SARCO was pretty good about it, and refunded my money.

By the way, my CD Hi Power is one of my favorite range guns. It has without fail digested everything from Speer Gold Dots to Wally World bulk ammo.

I had purchased the FM kit as an impulse buy.

Howdy,

Interesting cause Ive put a Sarco detective slide on my FEG with no problems. I was told FEG made the Daly's

Forgot to ask. Has anyone ever put a Cienier .22 conversion kit on a CD Hi-Power?

Hopefully, the .22 kit would be a true drop in conversion on the CD Hi-Power.

Don't CD's HP's use Hungarian parts?

That would depend on what particular BHP schematics they're working from, as the barrel cam/frame lug dimensions have changed over the years. FN's major changed occurred in ~1962 (I'll check the exact date), so it's possible that the FM kit was manufactured to MkIII dimensions (1989-present), whereas the CDHP frame lug would have to be manufactured to pre-"watershed" dimensions.

Interesting.

Mr Fumigator,

Ive had too much to drink to understand what you wrote! Happy hour and all.
I've got the FEG PJK; an exact copy of the Mark I Hi power and the Sarco fits. Great gun just got that tiny little safety lever is my only complaint.
