I have 2 loads I want to make for my Super Blackhawk. I have some Berrys plated 200g bullets that I wanted to make for plinking......More of a .44 special load. The other is a Hornady 300g JHP that I want the most out of. I only have 3 powders now, I have Unique, Green Dot and Titegroup. Anyone have a ny tried and true recipes for these?

I found some info in one of my books that says 9.6 grains of Titegroup for the 300g one.

With a 200-gr lead SWC I was loading 6.3 of titegroup for .44spl type loads. For my standard 240-gr LSWC I load 9.7 of titegroup.

Sorry, I have not shot any handloaded jacketed/plated in my ruger super redhawk.

The 9.6 grain load should work for both however, at least for a starting point.

Any of the three powders listed will make fine plinking loads with the 200 grain bullets.

None of the three are at all good if you want maximum performance out of the 300 grain XTP's.

I would look to 2400, H110, or WW296 for maximum performance with the 300 XTP's.
