Does the frame of the Springfield TRP-Pro have "Brazil" or something like "Made in Brazil" on it?

Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich. No, there are no Brazil markings on the TRP Pro.

I consider the Pro to be one of the top 3 1911's available today.

Nope.

Can't think of an off-the-rack 1911 I'd rather tote, either.

I've been thinking about the Les Baer TRS and SRP. The Springfield TRP-Pro is about the same price as the SRP.

My only experience with Springfields is a couple of Fully Loaded models. They both shoot low, one much more than the other. I'm also not fond of the ambi safety. Unfortunately the TRP-Pro and L.B. SRP come with ambi safeties. They can be changed but it is just more time and money to get the pistol the way I want it.

Thanks again,
Rich

One interesting tidbit: I obtained a DeSantis Inner Piece IWB holster for my Pro, which is the holster made on contract for the EffaBeeEye. The holster is cut so that the tips of both thumb safeties are inside the holster mouth, negating the chances of them being swept off inadvertently (which the ones on the Pro aren't real prone to, anyhow...)

Off topic, but what does TGO Stand for ?
As in the Rob Latham Springfield Armory pistol.
Rob also goes by TGO on the internet if I am not mistaken.

Rob has been called "The Great One" by many for several years now. I must admit that I never knew much about him until I saw him shoot in person. It was simply astounding!

I shot in a quasi-IDPA match once at Rio Salado and Rob was a participant. I knew he was called the great one, but for some reason I couldn't put it together. I kept telling myself, if I ask this question on the internet I will kick myself for not figureing it out myself.
