Just finished one of two "wildgame" rooms...

Put the final touches on one of two trophy rooms last night. Over the years collected around 40 different mounts, trying to find room to display them has been a challenge. Didn't seem right to put so much effort and time into these hunts and hang the mounts in a garage or basement. Went with darker colored walls and track lighting to highlight each mount....looks better than the previous white walls.

Since we have two homes, there will be a wildgame room in each house. Haven't got the furniture moved in yet but should show what it'll look like. Some of these mounts are the kids first deer....as well a couple of novelty mounts. This is where we'll hang out, tell big stories, and enjoy the hunts of the past. Thinking the second "wildgame room" will have a log cabin motif and stone fireplace.....

Looks incredible. My brother has a similar setup with darker walls and track lighting to highlight the mounts. Can't wait to be able to do the same.

You've got some fine looking trophies there. Where have those whitetails been taken?

Whitetails are all from Iowa. Mulie, Antelope, Elk, and Jacklope came from Wyoming. Corsican ram...from Texas.

Rembrandt, that is the finest Jackalope I have ever seen, what a fine hunt that must of been!

Very nice. I am particularly impressed with how you used the lighting.

I want a close up of the whitetail with the red eyes and tusks.:scrutiny:

Sort of an Iowa version of the jackalope....great conversation piece for the kids and non-hunters, you'd be suprised at how many think it's real. Found it dead on our property, had taxidermist add the wild boar tusks and red eyes.

Beautiful animals. I'd be lucky to get one whitetail like that over here in PA. Might have to plan a trip to Iowa in the future :)

I've had the chance to get to Wyoming a few times for mulies and antelope. Absolutely amazing out there.
