Cougar pin won't come out!!

I'm trying to do the home conversion of the Stoeger Cougar from an F model to G (decocker only). Step 1 is to drive the firing pin catch spring pin, that holds the firing pin and pin safety, out of the slide.
I cannot get that sucker to budge! It is a roll pin running the width of the slide.
Any help on how to remove that pin?:fire::confused:

In general, you have to support the part on something solid & heavy.
I recommend a steel block or small anvil with a clearance hole drilled in it.
Then a few drops of penetrating oil down the pin.
I like to use a "starter punch" of the proper size to fit the hole closely, but short enough it won't bend or break.
A tapered nail-set punch is often what I reach for.
The shorter tapered punch will have much less give to it then a long slender pin punch.
Once the pin moves, even a little, it should come on out fairly easy with a longer punch.
