Having Issues Viewing APS?

If when you visit APS you get a H-Sphere Login page please continue reading.
If you have edited your Hosts file in the past then that is your problem.
With the New Server you need to Delete the i.p. address that you added to your hosts file.
That should fix it.
Hosts file is located
windows/system32/drivers/etc/
Hopefully that will increase the traffic to APS

I am willing to bet that they did.
It was posted somewhere here on THR on how to do it a long time ago..

yes, I did it long ago but removed them when told to. I can't get into APS at all. error404. Connects to the server but can't find the page(s).

280Plus,
Go to a command prompt and type "nslookup armedpolitesociety.com" (without the quotes. If it tells you an ip address that starts with 209 then you're still pointing at the old data center. If the first few numbers are 208, then you're pointed to the right one and there's some other issue.

Did that and came up with: 208.73.221.182

Typed in "www.armedpolitesociety.com" and got this:
This is the default H-Sphere server page. From here you are able to access the following services:
Web Utilities:
WebShell4—file manager
E-mail Utilities:
SQWebMail—mail client IMP—mail client Change your POP3 password
Database Utilities:
phpMyAdmin—Administrator interface for MySQL
If this page is not what you wanted to get, most probably, one of the one of the following situations occured:
Domain name refers to H-Sphere logical server, e.g., web.service-domain.com
Third-level domain name does not exist. Maybe, you typed it incorrectly, e.g., valeed-domain .example.com instead of valid-domain.example.com
Domain incorrectly points to this H-Sphere server.

Don't know what to tell you 280 - DNS is resolving correctly, but your web browser isn't hitting the correct site (most likely). Standard windows tricks might work: clearing your cache, rebooting, using another browser (or another machine in your house) as a test.

Nope, it still won't work for me. rebooted, downloaded firefox, rebooted, tried again still takes me to the h sphere page. How do I empty cache?

If you can't get there with Firefox, clearing the cache on IE won't help.
Check your hosts file one more time and make sure there's nothing related to APS in it.
other than that? I've no idea...

That's what it was, I got lost looking for the "host" file earlier because I'm an idiot, everything is a-ok now. I'd been wanting to try firefox anyways so this was a good time. Thanks Derek, sorry about the confusion. :D
