Not sure if this is the right forum or not, please forgive me if it isn't. I was just curious as to whether or not there are any good outdoor ranges in SE Michigan (Macomb County, or Oakland specifically). Preferably one that rents handguns, and doesn't make you load a single round at a time. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any outdoor ranges that rent guns. You can rent handguns and some carbine rifles at indoor ranges.

The DNR range at island lake in Brighton (SW Oakland county) is good. 25,50,100 yard targets and trap. You can load up entire magazines and shoot as long as it's slow fire.

I would call them to check their hours. They sometimes are closed on random days.

Williams Gun Sight, in Davison, MI. Don't know about rental though. Great place to shoot.

Here is a link to an article (http://www.michigan.gov/som/0,1607,7-192-45414_45416-177549--,00.html) that lists Michigan DNR ranges in southeast Michigan. They don't rent guns. I can attest that the range at Pontiac Lake is very nice for the price.
