Tonight I went by Bass Pro Shops (St. Charles, MO) to pick up some Remington Game Loads @ $3.19/box (current sale), and stumbled across an unadvertised sale - Winchester super X game loads for $1.99 box, with a two case maximum. It was only #8 shot and I was there for #7.5, but at that price I'm not too particular.

Lots of their advertised specials were sold out on day 3 of their 8-day sale, so maybe this is their way of making up. I don't know if this is nationwide or local, so YMMV.

I've purchased similar deals $2.99 and it was always #8 heavy dove loads.

They were a bit hard on the shoulder after a shooting a couple hundred
at clay targets.

$1.99 is an outstanding deal.

That is a great price, but I hate their shells. My Beretta and my friend's Benelli only have hic-ups when shooting Winchesters. I usually shoot Remington and Fiochi's (sp?). However, for $1.99 I might stock-up give them another try.
