I have a used Taurus M44 (44mag) and I would like for Taurus to check this bad boy out. I see that their website says that "they service all of Taurus handguns for free" does this include used second hand guns?:confused:

I'm really not sure of the correct answer to your question;
but from what I've read here (and on other firearms web
sites), the Taurus "Limited Lifetime Warranty" is a JOKE!
Used primarily as a drawing card, to sucker you in on their
firearms!:D :rolleyes: :uhoh:

Call them up, but I do believe they warranty their guns even if you are not the original owner.

In my experience, the word "lifetime" refers to how much time it takes to get your firearm back from them...

The lifetime warranty is for all Taurus guns regardless of ownership.

Expect the warranty work to take 6-8 weeks. Be sure to send a letter explaining the problem in as much detail as you can muster. If you send a gun with nothing more than a note that says "Fix It" do not be suprised if you get the gun back with less than satisfactory results.

Coldshot: The website, www.taurususa.com has the info that you need, including a work order to print out and send with the gun. I have a model 415 that had the cylinder locking pin binding, called them and they sent the new part free which I had installed locally. I also bought the gun used and this was no problem. I could have sent the gun to them, but when I didn't like the 6 week turnaround they offered to send the part. In fact I am getting ready to send it in because the cylinder latch is getting loose. Yes I know, it has had problems but I really love the gun. Jim.
