Whats goin on. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on whether they take every little thing they require, seriously to get a CCL. All the misdameanor details, I don't understand. I live in Virginia. Basically, do they really bother with petty charges from the past? LIke drunk in public, etc. Thakns for your help.

Also, to your specific question, it may depend on when you were convicted --

An individual who has been convicted of a violation of § 18.2-266 or a substantially similar local ordinance or of public drunkenness within the three-year period immediately preceding the application, or who is a habitual drunkard as determined pursuant to § 4.1-333.

The background check in Georgia apparently does not include misdemeanours. They may be flagging misdemeanour domestic violence...I have no personal knowledge of that.
