Still looking for a home range in South Florida, specifically South Broward County area. Any tips? So far I have tried American on Pembroke and Big Al's on Hallandale. I am looking for a place that might also offer good instruction, and preferrably one that does not look down on newbie shooters like myself.
Thanks.

Try Markem Park just off SR84 in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm not sure about instruction but the range is excellent, and safe. If you really want good instruction on shooting, contact me about a NRA rifle and shotgun class being held near Ft. Myers this weekend. If you are up for camping overnight you can get both rifle and shotgun NRA basic courses taught by experts, meals, camping fees, ammo, textbooks, training materials, and course diplomas that meet State training requirements for CCW for $75.00
This weekend only at Camp Miles, BSA Punta Gorda. We have one poi=sition open at this time. e-mail me at d.southall@att.net for more information or to secure a place

Hey Hollywood, I was actually going to recommend Big Als for ya but I saw youve already been there. Theres one down here in Miami (Trail Glades) Its ok. Various ranges, pistol, rifle, skeet and trap. They also have overnight camping if youre interested. You do have to go through a 20 min safety class (only the first time). Their kindof anal but hey its shootin. Here in about a year or so, the Homestead PD will be opening up a new range which will be open to the public and its going to be huge. Keep in touch with me and Ill let you know of anything else if youre interested. Theres a couple out towards the Ft Meyers area as well

Thanks man. I like Big Al's pretty well. Sometimes the ultra-rookie shooters make me nervous, but otherwise it's fine. I checked out Bass Pro Shops on Wednesday and it was pretty cool. The people were wicked nice and had a lot of information, plus the air system was awesome. I wasn't sucking in lead at all. I am also going to check out a place called Arizona this weekend. That homestead PD place sounds really good.
