Educate me please. I'm guessing the .433 120 gr. Speer round ball is a hold-over from when blackpowder was used. I noticed for .44spl and .44mag loading data still exits with modern powders.
Does anyone load this? With its low MV does it still have a use?(depending on pwdr, 470 -506)
Just curious? Found it interesting that's all.

Yes I have used these lead balls in my 44 mag.......just goofing around target loads are:.......one ball......4 grs. unique..........2 balls..7 1/2 gr. of unique..........the 2 ball load is equal to a target load with 240 gr. lead bullets..........they hit about an inch apart at 25 yards......I loaded them up for the heck of it, and they are a lot of fun to shoot, especially when 2 holes show up in your target.......you use a wooden dowel to push the first ball down so you can start the 2nd ball and get it down to about a little over half the ball so you can put a little crimp on it...........

Jem, how well did the single ball load work with Unique? did it burn cleanly?
I tried the Speer loads with Bullseye, and it was seriously nasty...squibs, and it would leave half the powder unburned inside the barrel. Half-burned Bullseye, by the way, has a special smell unto itself

tex_n_cal...........it burned fairly well, a little powder residue was left.....the 2 ball was better...............
