How do I remove the bolt on my Rem 700 .308?

THR,

Thought I would just hold trigger and smoothly remove the bolt from the open position like I did my Win. M70. I dont know how to get it out!!!

Please help...

There is a small button/lever just forward of the trigger. Push it and the bolt will come out.

Yeah, the button in up on the top of the trigger guard & you have to push it up towards the stock while you pull back on the bolt.

My M70s have a small tab on the top left of the action just behind the rear reciever ring that has to be depressed to remove the bolt...............:confused:
