AR15 or NEF for accuracy?

I know many AR15's can shoot MOA and under; what about NEF single shots?

Would a stock NEF 223 be able to beat a stock (cept 2 stage trigger) AR15?

Rather than dishing out several hundred for a RRA or BM varmenter upper, I could just get an NEF singleshot in .223.

By this time i hope to be handloading as well.

my buddy has a .223 handi-rifle. shoots well, but my RRA 24" Varmint will out shoot it. both are 1:12" twist. my best 3 shot group is 1/4" using Black Hills 52gr MHP. i don't think my friends NEF will out shoot my RRA. plus what fun is a single shot?
