Does anyone know a page where I can find the age of a Savage 99 by using the serial number.
Thanks, Qajaq

Call or write the company. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you figure out when your rifle was made.

The rough rule of thumb is that they hit the 400,000 mark right around WWII and the one million mark right around 1961. In 1961, they switched from the trigger-mounted safety to the tang safety and revised lockwork - those later models are very distinctive, and less valued. By the late 1970s, they'd replaced the rotary magazine with a box magazine.
