hello i recently acquired a s&w model 14-3 with a eversull barrel and a bo-mar winged adj sight th serial # is 8k36367 and is a double action only gun can anybody give me some pointers as to when this gun was made any help would be appreciated thanks.

A great revolver.

DA-only wasn't factory; someone modified it. This was not uncommon with police revolvers in the 1980's.

Your revolver was made in 1975.

Sounds like a PPC revolver...do you have pictures?
