I had a 230 (wish I still had it) and currently have a 232. I'll tell you the differences I know and perhaps others will fill in the gaps. The grip on my 230 was a bit flatter but had a more square butt. The grip on my 232 is more tapered at the butt but has a bit more palm swell. There are fewer and wider cocking serrations on the 232 as opposed to the 230. The sights on the 232 are a bit deeper and are three-dot as opposed to the bar-dot sights on the 230. I believe, although I'm not totally sure that the hammer at rest on the 232 is back a bit farther from the firing pin mechanism than on the 230. I understand there are a number of small, subtle changes internally to the breech-face, etc. to make the 232 more reliable with a wider range of hollowpoints. That's about it as far as I know. I love my 232 and wish I still had the 230. The 232 may be "better" but I know my 230 was one of the best pistols I have ever owned...or shot. Just a sweet little pistol. I won't make the same mistake with my 232.

Sig remodeled the 230..into the 232 to get a "new gun" approved for Cali's gun laws...very few and minor changes...already mentioned....both are great guns.
Shoot well
