I can't seem to find anything on the UPS site re: shipping of firearms...must the contents be declared? Do they require guns be shipped a certain way? Are the requirements different for long guns?

FFLs can ship handguns through the US Mail and it's a lot cheaper than UPS.

Whatever you do, don`t use Fed Ex.:barf: Right this very minute they`ve got a handgun I bought somewhere in their system. :what:

Also, if you think that Overnight means tomorrow, I got a nice bridge for you. Overnight is when the shipping FFL decides to send the gun. Receive the gun on Wed. or Thurs, maybe we`ll ship it the next Tues.:cuss: And maybe we`ll charge for Overnight at about $35 and really send it Ground (about 5 bucks) so that the Fed Ex moron can say the receiving FFL`s address is wrong! It`s not. So now the gun is in limbo waiting for someone to figure out it`s a handgun and steal it. :banghead:

I actually hope the gun goes back to the shipping FFL so it costs him the money he pocketed plus the original $5.

I actually sent a message to the GT admins about setting up co-operative firearm shipping, since I have an account at UPS I dont use too much and how EXTREMELY poor knowledge on the part of the people working the counter can lead to horrible experiences attempting to ship firearms in accordance with federal law and UPS regs.
