My FN PS90TR finally has a friend to keep it company, an FN FS2000 Tactical.

This rifle feels awesome, It balances well, points great and though wide handles like a dream.

Nice! I wish I could afford either one of those.

My first thought at seeing you had posted "My New Toy" was "what doesn't he have already?" Seriously, you have a great collection. Have you shot it yet? Let us know how she handles and what groupings are like if you get a chance.

It ejects forward.

When fired the brass gets pushed through a tube that runs from the rear just over the chamber to the ejection port that is on the front of the rifle on the right side, like an AR15 it has a dust cover that can be manually closed to help keep debris out of the action, the door can be opened manually or pushed open by the fired brass.

I think Kel-tec came up with a .308 that ejected like that, I am not sure.....if it was kel-tec or not.....

now all you need is the new semi auto SCAR FN came out with. and a Kel-Tec RFB...

always liked with fs2000, just one bad note, no bolt hold open feature... oh well

something else, the f2000 rifle is "wide" because it was origionally designed to accomidate an electronics suite and a USB port, that recorded how many when and how many times the rifle was fired, and the electronics for the EGLM grenade launcher module. i have only handled the f2000 once, at a gun show
--but i wonder if there is somewhere in that empty space to fit a cleaning kit maybe? just a thought.

Somebody needs to make a video of the fs2000 shooting upwards or diagonally upwards as if you were shooting up a hill or staircase, balcony, etc.

After seeing this, I dont think there would be much of a problem with shooting it up.

What is that thing he flipped open at the and? Was it an opening to the breach?

Interesting! I'd still like to see it shot upwards, but that looks promising.

There is allot of room under the FS2000’s fire control cartridge, the area appears to be designed for something that slides in place but as long as you used a pouch or something for smaller things it could be safely used for storage.
The PS90 has two small areas that can be used for storage, over the fire control cartridge there is a space (that also appears to be designed for something) and under the fire control cartridge.

Yep it’s an inspection door, with the door up and the action locked open you can see the chamber and the rear of the ejection tube over it.

I'd still like to see it shot upwards, but that looks promising.

Once the casings are pushed pasts the mouth of the tube they can not slide back into the action, so even if the brass slid back down they would just keep stacking with every round fired until they just started falling out.

NICE! I think I have seen these posted on FNforum. I went with the FS2000 standard and now I'm trying to trade my tri-rail for the USG.

The mags are a pain to get out, and that's probably my ONLY dislike about the FS2k.

The mags are a pain to get out, and that's probably my ONLY dislike about the FS2k.

I keep all my USGI mags including the one that came with the FS2000 as extras and pretty much only use HK High Reliability mags, they slide in and out of mag well seals in the FS2000 much better than the standard mags.

Some people remove the mag well seals from the FS2000 altogether but I don't mind them. Also I was told by several not to use plastic orlite mags as they have no grooves on the side for the contours of the mag well seal and will get stuck.

Its not that bad anymore. Either that or other ammo is just going up and it isnt but last time I saw some it was about the same price as .223.

yup while .223 is about 85$ per 200 rounds 5.7 is right there or cheaper I find it all the time for 20$ per 50 rounds thats the same price it was a year ago, say that about any other brass cased reloadable caliber
