A friend owns an old RG .38 special, which is a blast to fire (pun intended). We were looking for a way to make this revolver better. Is anyone familiar with a grip replacement/solution? Possibly a rubber grip? Any help is appreciated. :) We have searched but nothing really has come up, probably b/c no one wants to invest more into this firearm. lol.

Cut a piece of an old bicycle tube about 2.5" long, wash it with dish soap and slide it around the grip.
If you really crafty you can make your own Tgrip from a piece of wood (preferably cheap pine) and the tube will hold it in place.
Please post pictures when you're done...

Remove the firing pin. Major improvement since with the firing pin, it's more dangerous to the shooter than the shootee. At least you won't hurt yourself with it.

Seriously though, be careful and avoid hot +P loads in this. Your fingers are valuable...
It would probably be OK with wadcutters.
It would be funny to figure out a way to mount a rail to it and attach red dot, laser, light...

Don't quote me on this, because if you do, "...The Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions..."

I heard somewhere many years back that speedloaders for the Mdl 10 S&W were the right size..have NOT tested this theory, though
