They won't hurt the Python, just might cause the owner a minor bit of agita due to the sudden appearance of apparent light strikes.

As noted by several in the previous thread, if you're stressing out over using your Python running .38 Spcl wadcutters might be advisable. Getting Pythons worked on these days can be frustrating - the low pressure rounds should keep it at its current state indefinitely.

Probably the best store bought ammo to use in a Python would be the best store bought ammo in any revolver, you recon?

I would not hammer it with extensive rapid fire of fire-breathing 125-gr. magnums, but any other .357 load should be fine for it, as well as all .38 Spl. loads. If you are looking for maximum accuracy, every firearm is a law unto itself as to what ammo it shoots best, so it is hard to give any single recommendation.

My shooter Python digests all flavours with eqaul aplomb. Shoot what works best for you. Contrary to many's opinion, I believe the Python to be quite robust.

I've only owned about 10 or 12 Pythons--Not as many as Gunkwazy (Jeff). However I shoot ALL of mine, including my Snake Eyes (namesake) snubby.

They'll eat whatever you feed 'em.
