Traditions is getting to be just like Sturm and Ruger. They get something good going and then they discontinue it.
The Traditions Evolution Standard Bolt is not being carried by them anymore, I was just informed. From now on all of their rifles will be 'break open' of one type or the other.
She said they would still carry the parts and the guarantee's were still good and all of that stuff.
She said they had one Traditions Evolution left and that was it. She said it was a .50 caliber. So I guess that anyone wanting this particular model of rifle had better hurry....

I guess that means that slower lock times will result due to them only making models with external hammers.

That sure sounds like "De-Evolution" to me! :D

Trust me, I know how you feel. I was astonished to discover that Ruger discontinued its Old Army revolver not long ago. Unfortunately, economics triumphs whether we like it or not. This may not help, but I am genuinely sorry that a good product people like has been dropped from production. Thankfully, Traditions will still have spare parts available for your firearm.
