Hello. I have a picture or two I can show.

This is my first HP, bought new in '71. It's had S&W revolver sights added, has been hardchromed, and is fitted with an early Barsto bbl. None of my HPs have the magazine disconnects in place and the spur hammer's been bobbed to prevent hammer bite.

This early MkIII pistol's been matte blued, has Novak fixed sights and a C&S Type I abbreviated ring hammer, a trigger job, and Spegel checkered, blk, delrin grips.

This FN Competition has had the current factory extended thumbsafety lever added, the hammer spur bobbed and Spegel stocks added.

This MkIII has the original factory "matte" finish, Butler Creek rubber, checkered stocks, a C&S Type I hammer, skateboard tape on the gripstrap and a trigger job.

Thanks for the expensive ideas. I just bought my first Hi-Power. I was planing on sending it off to Novak or Robar for work. Any other suggestions on good people to deal with?

Stephen,

Are the Butler Creek grips the same as the old Uncle Mike's grips? Is Uncle Mike's still around?

Thanks,
Steve

Isaidme - go towww.fnhipower.com. I think you'll find plenty of custom pictures there, if I'm not mistaken.

Hello. Yes, the Butler Creeks are the same as those sold by Uncle Mike's originally. I was at the Uncle Mike site the other day and did a search on handgun grips and everything was Butler Creek from then on, so I suspect they're making all of their handgun grips now.

Best.
