Hello,
I have a 2022 in 9mm. Its my favorite pistol. I just put money down on another one(rumors of it being discontinued). I noticed this one came with a loaded chamber indicator(XD style), a lanyard, and 3 magazines. Is this a new version or a French import or something?

The French Police and Gendarmerie adapted this weapon so yours appears to be an import. I understand those rumors of it being discontinued to be false. I have a SP 2022 in .40 S&W which I now have up for sale. The grip is too big for my hands.

Yes thats it DCB.
Here in America, the version we have didn't originally come with the loaded chamber indicator or the lanyard loop on the grip. They also only came with 2 magazines.
These have been recently popping up from various distributors. I can only assume these are a police or military overruns. These are pretty cool from a novelty stand point as they are German proofed.
Heres a discussion about it on sigforum.

The 2022 name comes from the French State denomination, adopted in 2002 for a service duration of 20 years, hence 2022. it is a modified SIG Pro. this one wich is marked "State property" is one I could lay my hands on because of my activity, less than 10 are in private hands.
