I'm looking at getting a s&w 325pd. I'm a tall guy, so I can afford to carry a bigger gun than most, but I'm still stuck on barrel length. Does anyone own a 4 inch bbl 325? Can it be effectively concealed?

The holster and belt determines this, not barrel length.

An excellent IWB such as from Milt Sparks or other quality holster AND belt makers easily conceal my 5" 1911 (the barrel is down inside my pants and bears no relevance on the "concealability" of the weapon).

I prefer the longer barrel, IME, more sight radius and can have longer ejector rod. YMMV.

The 2.5" model was discontinued in 2007. The 4", while not listed in the 2008 printed catalog, is still listed on the S&W web page. One local dealer has a 4" - it's very nice, but I don't care for the fiber optic front sight.

Good luck in finding whatever barrel length you decide on.

If you're packing an N frame you might as well go 4". It'll sit nicely IWB.
