Colt barrel difference

I have a series 70 commander and I bought a new barrel and needless to say it doesn't fit. The rear of the barrel is .390 which fits the newer Colt MKIV series 80 slide. The series 70 barrels breech end has got to be wider. Is this like the front sight difference .125 vrs .55 ?

Yes, you need a standard Commander barrel, you got an Enhanced. Send it back for exchange.

I had no idea there was a difference between standard and enhanced.
