I have decided on the Kershaw Blur. This is to fill my EDC role. Looking for the best online source for the non serrated, stainless blade model (No black coating).

Sadly all I can find locally are the Tanto style blades which I have no use for.

I wish I could get the blade I want in the "Rescuer" handle.

My reasons for choosing this knife are as follows:

1. Reversible pocket clip. This is a must.

2. Slimness with a good grip.

3. I dont like the dark colored coatings as they show wear a lot more.

4. Serrations are a pain for me to sharpen, and distract from the "lines" of the knife.

If there is another knife that can fill this criteria I am open for suggestions. Clue me in.

Oh yeah, What are the chance if I call Kershaw, that they will put the blade I want into a "Rescuer" handle?

Thanks,

Mot

hallelujah amen! :D

The tanto point sure looks mean - but admittedly unless you're fighting with it it's not very useful.

Here's your blur - red handled, clip point, no coating (http://www.thebladeshop.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=315).

rememba- googel is you fren.

Wow, if that Kershaw came with a Spyderco style hole in the blade for opening I'd have my next knife purchase settled. Am I the only one who thinks thumb studs are next to useless? I'm thinking I'm going to send Chris Reeve a request and see if he'd do a blade for the small Sebenza with a thumbhole. If not I may just buy s small Seb and find a good custom maker and have a blade custom made for me.

I like the thumbholes, but I disagree with you about thumbstuds. I have them on 3 or 4 of my knives, and I think that they work just fine, although I will admit that the big ol' Spyderco hole seems to work better.

Heck no, thumb studs are way better! Can barely open knives without flicing your wrist if they have a hole.
Thumb Studs all the way!

I have recently sharpened one for a client.
