Yes, I am not ham fisted and the space between the upper frame and the grip was pinching the web of my hand. It had a black frame and a silver rail. I didn't like the looks of it. I'll stick with the Ruger

I fondled one a few weeks back. Not bad. I was thinking of getting one but when I went back they were out. Ended up getting a Walther P22 instead.
May get the Neos later. I like the built in rail.

I stopped by my local gunstore and low and behold I see they have a Berretta Neo in so I ask to see it and I find the grip does fit in my hand -ham fists, and the trigger pull was horrible. Guess i wont buy one of those:( Have any of you looked at a Neo yet?? and what do you think of them??

I have one,and as ive said before its the only .22lr ive owned that was 100% out of the box and thats using bulk, cheap ammo. The trigger is fine as long as your'e not obsessed by triggers like so many here are.You want a lousy trigger? Shoot a Sigma or a FN49!!!

How does the trigger compare to a stock Ruger.22?

One thing most people miss is the magazine release. It is similar to the old Colt cadet series. One of which I purchased for my daughter. The colt shoot greats, but it's not a field gun as if you carry it in a holster the pressure presses the release and...Oops where the magazine go?
The Neo seem to have the same flaw.
Just my two cents.

One of my friends got one and I got the chance to shoot it. It is quite accurate and it looks to be well built and it has the softest recoil I have ever seen in a .22 BUT for my taste it has 2 problems. The grip angle is way to sharp. I dont even like the Ruger MkII shape and this is a lot more angled. The second "problem" is that I really dont know how it would hold up in the field. It feels ... not flimsy but maybe a bit fragile. Its a very nice plinker but for my taste I'll take a Ruger or a Buckmark.
