ive been looking into reloading and right now im considering the dillon 650.
as far as calibers im interested in for pistol just 9mm and .45cp and rifle .223, 6.8rem spc, 338 lapua magnum, and 50bmg

considering just the pistol calibers right now. ive read that you can setup different toolheads and just swap them out to move to another caliber. however does the casefeeder change as well? will i have to have 2 of these, one for 9mm and one for 45? or 3 if i wanted to do rifle as well?

The 650 won't do 50 BMG, here's a good link on reloading the BMG:

The casefeeder doesn't change, just the "shellplate" inside of it . .(bit plastic disk that snaps on/off) You'll also change out a couple of small parts on the top of the press that feeds the empties into the press. (casefeeder is actually pretty simple . . . .and my favorite part of the 650! :) )

Yup. caliber changes are pretty quick, especially if you have a separate toolhead for each die set. Even faster if you have dedicated powder dispensers, etc.

I don't own a Dillon but got to load on a friends 550 and thought it was a very nice press. From what I have heard a good place to buy and check out the options for Dillon presses is www.brianenos.com. I have two XL650s, one dedicated to calibers with small primers, one for large primers, this speeds the caliber change dramaticly, I have arthritis and its hard for me to change the primer seater, so I never have too with 2 machines. The Dillons are beautiful pieces of workmanship, well designed and trouble free. All my calibers have the tool head, dies and powder measures ready to slip into place, the electric case feed is great ( I only have one case feed with the power cord plugging in on top, unplug the unit, transfer to the other press change ) It works for me.

I don't think you can go wrong with BIG BLUE:D
