Does anyone make a bolt action in 30 carbine?

I doubt very much that a single one has ever been made by anyone, including home gunsmiths. The closest I've ever seen or heard of are the Thompson/Center Contenders and the Marlin 62 lever action (bottom).

At one time when deals were to be had for good cheep 30 carb ammo there might have been a market for a bolt gun . With todays prices for ammo ,not so much .
The lever guns in pistol calibers and the various semi's in 9,40 and 45 seem to pretty well cover the power and use range that a bolt 30 carb would.
Ruger once made (and still might) a small size bolt in 22hornet and another in 44mag . Both of these guns have power in somewhat of the same ballpark that the 30 carbine would with better available choices of bullets and better accuracy.
I believe the bottom line is that the 30 carbine is such a well ballanced nice shooting little gun that it is pretty hard to improve on it

Remington made a .30 carbine bolt action rifle in the 50's. It was not real popular. i saw one at a gun shgop about a year ago in pristine shape.

Remington has made bolt action carbines in 30 caliber (300 Savage, 30-06, 308, etc) but I don't think they ever made one in .30 carbine caliber.

Thanks BCP. I know the difference in calibers. I was incorrect in saying that Remington made a 30 Carbine Bolt rifle. Winchester made the Model 43 in 30 Carbine in 1949 for a short period of time.

Doug are you sure about the Model 43 being produced in .30 carbine. The only ones I've seen have been in .22 Hornet, .218 Bee, 25-20 and .32 WCF. I would appreciate it if you could point me towards some more info on this rifle/caliber combo.

Some enterprising folks out in England make a straight-pull AR in .30 carbine.

cane, I saw one at The Bullet Trap in Plano about 8 or 9 months ago. Only one I have ever seen. It was in pristine shape, and looked to be origional. Unless it was a custom job, it looked production to me. I have found some data on the run in .30 Carbine for the 43, but I can't find it again. I will keep looking.

This is what I have....They shoot well, although there is a knack to operating the action in lever action mode.

cheers
