I saw a Glock model unknown 357Sig at a good price. $499 Used. This is a good price right?:confused:

I have an older Para Ordnance P-16 in .40 S&W that has been upgraded and hardchromed and is a fine shooter. For variety, I ordered an Ed Brown barrel in .357 Sig and fitted it. It is an awsome shooter! I like the round although it has quite a 'bark' to it. That little 9mm bullet really hums out of the full 5" barrel. Recoil is comarable to the .40 and is therefore no big deal if you are used to such handguns.

I am really pleased with the results as I now have quite a versatile gun in 2 calibers and both are great fun, accurate and very effective. It is even carryable! I would feel quite safe with the .357 as a carry round!

I own ten pistols chambered in .357 Sig from the factory, which sort of tells you that I like this round:

Glock 31
Glock 32
Glock 33 (x2)
HK USP357 Compact
Sig P226
Sig P226ST
Sig P229
Sig P239
Sig Pro SP 2340

Of these, my favorites are the Glock 33, Sig P226ST, Sig P239, and Sig Pro SP 2340.

I also have .357 Sig conversion barrels for the Glock 20, Glock 29, and Walther P99 (.40 Auto version).

Another 'yes' vote for 357 SIG. It is powerful but not punishing to shoot. It is very flat shooting and accurate. In the Accurate Arms load data book, they say 357 SIG produced the most consistent velocities of any round they ever tested. I am very comfortable and confident with this caliber.

Sig P-226 in .357sig--love it.

The gun's more accurate than I am and the round is extremely manageable in that package.

Little, if any, recoil... comfortable to shoot...flat trajectory out at 25 yards...I wouldn't trade mine.

Plus, the cost of the ammo has come down dramatically over the last several months. It's not uncommon to find Winchester USA (white box) or S&B out there for 12 bucks or so.

I had some really good results shooting the 357 sig & came really close to buying one...actually converting a USPc 40 to 357sig.

I have one of the mythical S&W .357 Sig Sigmas as wells as a Glock 32C. Supposedly the .357 Sig Sigma was never a cataloged item at S&W and only 1500 were made. I doubt it will make it valuable (imagine that a collector Sigma :what: ). I replaced the 32C barrel in my Glock with a stock 32 barrel after shooting this thing in low light. Way too bright with the 32C barrel. Reliability is excellent for both. Recoil is somewhat brisk, but manageable. Basically, my opinion of the cartridge is that it's a hotrod and an excellent noisemaker. I'll carry either 9mm or .40 S&W.

I've got a Sig P229 in .40 not long after they became available and recently bought the .357 Sig barrel. It is definitely worth the investment, and a very easy transformation.

I've got a SIG P229 in 357 SIG and have shot a variety of brands of cartridges including my own handloads.

I've found that the Speer Gold Dot 124 gr. loads in this gun give me better accuracy than any other pistol I own.

SIG 226 and Steyr M

357SIG barrel fixed the feed problems I had with the 40S&W barrel in the Steyr.

Both guns in 357SIG have fed flawlessly.
